TASTING NOTES

Lime and tropical fruits shine on both the nose and the palate along with hints of candied orange and green melon. Notes of ripe juicy fruits carry the palate with an invigorating acidity reminiscent of a crisp granny-smith apple

Additional Notes: Associate Winemaker, Perry Hicks wanted to extend lees contact and lees stirring were used with the hopes of increasing mid-palate weight, mouthfeel, and complexity. The wine was racked off the fermentation lees on 11/15/22 and the lees were racked to a tank for battonage trials (total of 230 gallons for battonage trials and 680 gallons clear wine in a separate tank). Battonage was performed on the smaller tank on a weekly basis from early December until mid-February.
